Alphalane Transport

A landing page for a transport company

Overview

This project involved creating a landing page for a transport company based in the Netherlands, specializing in moving goods between Western and Eastern Europe. The goal was to present essential information clearly and professionally, while maintaining a visually appealing design. As my first independent client project outside of school, it was a valuable opportunity to apply my skills in a real-world context and deliver a functional, polished product tailored to the client’s needs.

How I Got Started

To fully understand the company’s services and brand identity, I held two detailed meetings with the business owner. He emphasized the importance of clarity and professionalism but gave me creative freedom regarding layout and style, provided I kept him informed throughout the process. This balance allowed me to explore different design approaches while ensuring alignment with the client’s vision.

Research process

Bringing it to Life

I began by sketching draft concepts and then developed a mid-fidelity prototype to establish the page’s structure and flow. After client feedback, I refined this into a high-fidelity design, carefully experimenting with color palettes, typography, and layout to strike the right balance between professionalism and approachability. The final landing page effectively communicates key information while creating a strong, positive first impression for potential clients.

Reflections and L65earning

This project taught me the importance of clear communication with clients and iterative design based on feedback. It reinforced how balancing creative freedom with client goals leads to successful outcomes. I also gained confidence working independently and managing a real client project from start to finish. Moving forward, I’m eager to deepen my skills in user experience design and explore more advanced prototyping tools.
